Day Zero

This is the day before my trip and a friend and neighbor insisted that I set up a blog to log my travels. Well, I haven't a clue as to what I am doing, but suffice it to say, I have gotten this far, so it looks promising. We shall see!

I should describe my trip just a bit. My daughter Jamie, who lives in Breckenridge, CO. are planning a motorcycle trip. We don't have an agenda or specific itinerary, just one basic destination, The Lost Coast, which is in northern California near the Redwoods. Other than that we are going backcountry all the way in an attempt to see how many interesting places we can discover. We both have to be back to work on August 31 so we'll see what happens between now and then.
